This includes the Independent Child Trafficking Guardianship Service (ICTG Service). The ICTG Service is expanding and developing in 2021/2022 and we are pleased to announce some exciting opportunities to join a passionate and experienced national team.
The Service is regional, working with PSNI, Trusts, Border Control & Legal Services. Direct support to children (up to 18yrs) “separated from country and family” who have been trafficked and/or exploited. Support provided to assist young people to navigate complex systems including immigration, children’s services and criminal justice, as well as emotional and practical support. About this service Independent Child Trafficking Guardians provide support to all potentially trafficked children across Greater Manchester, Wales, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, West Midlands, East Midlands and Croydon.
It provides for ICTGS to have a duty to advocate for trafficked and potentially trafficked children with in adopter sites, which are, Wales, Greater Manchester, West Midlands Combined Authorities, East Midlands, Croydon, Hampshire & the Isle of Wight. 2021-04-09 Child victims of trafficking have often been through significant emotional traumas - these brave children are sharing parts of their stories, and offering advice to other children who may be at risk 2021-03-09 The service comprises of Sheffield Futures youth workers and administrative support staff, South Yorkshire Police officers and missing person’s officers, Sheffield City Council social work staff and a Barnardos support worker. The service works to address sexual exploitation on four key principals; prevention, protection, pursuit and prosecution. The service. Barnardos Support to Care provides a range of services to non-parent permanent caregivers. It. helps caregivers meet the needs of children and young people who have been permanently placed with them; provides assistance so children have long–term, stable homes and better life outcomes.
